Cavan Bruederle

Business Development Manager

Cavan Bruederle joins Douglas Products as a Business Development Manager after more than 14 years at Cardinal Professional Products. In his previous role, Cavan managed multiple territories along the West Coast where the focus is on the tree nut market, specifically almonds and walnuts. It was in this role that he distributed post-harvest fumigants and ProFume® fumigant, completed Product Stewardship Training for all fumigants, and gained a rich understanding of pest control. Outside of work, Cavan volunteers with local livestock and agriculture committees and enjoys working on cars and motors.

Bob Braun

Business Development Manager

Braun has more than 21 years of experience in pest management, with 13 years focusing on fumigation.

Bob served as a programmer, marketing manager and sales specialist with Dow AgroSciences before coming to Douglas Products. He has more than 21 years of experience in pest management, with 13 years focusing on fumigation. He holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and applied mathematics, both from the University of North Dakota. Before joining Dow AgroSciences, he served as a software programmer for DuPont/Westinghouse. He is a member of the International Association of Operative Millers and serves on the association’s allied trades committee.

Justin Bruecker

Business Development Manager

Justin specializes in serving customers on the West Coast who use ProFume® gas fumigant to protect valuable commodities. His more than 14 years of fumigation experience includes having served as the general manager of a commercial pest management company and as an account executive for a national distributor. He holds a degree in agriculture from California Polytechnic State University.

Erich Hoblemann

Business Development Manager

Hoblemann has worked in structural fumigation for more than 40 years and in postharvest fumigation for more than eight years.

Erich gained hands-on experience in fumigation, termite control and general pest management working for Hobelmann Exterminating, Inc., the business his paternal grandparents started in 1945. He has worked in structural fumigation for more than 40 years and in postharvest fumigation for more than eight years. He joined Dow AgroSciences as a Vikane sales representative for 18 years and for ProFume® gas fumigant for four years. With Dow AgroSciences, he served as his sales district’s distributor focal point. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Florida. Erich is co-chair of the Florida Fumigation Advisory Council. He is a member of Florida Pest Management Association, the Georgia Pest Control Association and the Georgia Peanut Commission and the Georgia Pecan Growers Associations.

Jeremy Jackson

Business Development Manager

Jackson has more than 20 years of experience in the fumigation industry and will be focused on the bed bug market.

Jeremy serves customers using Vikane® and ProFume® gas fumigants in the Midwest region. He has more than 20 years of fumigation experience with a leading pest management company, a national distributor and as the North American fumigation business lead for United Phosphorus. Jeremy is based in southern Indiana. He holds a degree in business management from the University of Southern Indiana.

Jeff Kaneshiro

Business Development Manager

Based in Honolulu, Jeff Kaneshiro brings 23 years of experience working in pest management throughout Hawaii in sales and termite service.

Jeff Kaneshiro is a business development manager focusing on providing training and technical assistance to fumigation companies throughout the state of Hawaii. He brings a wealth of experience in Hawaii pest management to Douglas Products, having started in the field with another company in January 1999. For 17 years he worked in outside sales, then spent the last six years as a termite service manager addressing Hawaii’s significant pressures with that pest. Kaneshiro earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, in Finance and International Business.

Carlos Montejano

Business Development Manager

Carlos Montejano, ACE, Brings 17 Years of Experience to Serve Southern California Region, Arizona and Nevada

Business Development Manager Carlos Montejano, ACE, brings more than 17 years of industry experience to the table, many of those years having worked indirectly with Douglas Products. Montejano has involvement in pest management as a distribution customer service representative, territory outside sales representative and Western region sales manager. With expertise garnered in phosphine, fumigation and agriculture, he has worked with almond producers on the West Coast to peanut and pecan producers on the East Coast. Montejano also brings extensive knowledge in structural fumigation in Southern California with him. Most recently, he served as a sales manager, supervising insect growth regulators and botanical products. An associate certified entomologist (ACE), Montejano primarily serves the Southern California region, predominantly San Diego and Orange County, as well as Arizona and Nevada.

Steve Niedzwiedzki

Business Development Manager

Niedzwiedzki combines fumigation expertise with experience in all phases of pest management — service, management, distribution and manufacturing.

Originally from South America, Steve’s 39-year career in Pest Control began as a service route technician while studying and working on a degree in Computer Science at night. Working his way from service technician to service manager for the private sector, he earned his Pest Control Operator certificate in all categories from the State by 1983. This led to further opportunities as technical manager and trainer for regional and national pest control organizations until 1992, after which he entered the chemical distribution market.

While in distribution, Steve became engaged as a speaker at regional FPMA meetings and at the UF School of Structural Fumigation. With a strong background as a fumigator, he became one of the founding members for the Fumigation Advisory Committee. In 1995, he was invited into the School of Structural Fumigation as a Committee member, and continues to this day, as an instructor and member of the Planning Committee. His activities at UF have included work throughout the US, and Hawaii as a technical training instructor, and with NPMA providing training in the US Virgin Islands. Steve joined the manufacturing sector in 2011, providing sales and technical support, as a member of the Vikane® gas fumigant team for Southeast Florida, and for both Vikane® and ProFume® gas fumigants in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico markets.

Married for 34 years, Steve and his wife Debbie, make their home in SE Florida, where he had been with the Boy Scouts for over 15 years as a Life to Eagle counselor and Scoutmaster. His hobbies include all aspects of outdoor life, cooking and auto restoration.

Scott Robbins

Business Development Manager

Based in Vincennes, Indiana, Scott Robbins A.C.E. brings more than 23 years of experience working in pest management as a fumigator and industry leader on a wide range of home and professional applications.

Scott Robbins A.C.E. is a business development manager focusing on the northern East Coast, from Maine to Virginia and many points west from there, including Michigan, Illinois and Tennessee. He brings a wealth of experience in pest management to Douglas Products, primarily as a fumigator during more than 23 years in structural pest management. He’s also held numerous leadership positions for several organizations, including the Indiana Pest Management Association, the National Pest Management Association and the Indiana Pesticide Review Board. He remains a certified applicator in four states.

Barb Nead-Nylander

Technical Expert and Research and Development Scientist

Nead-Nylander's work in fumigation includes the preplant, postharvest and structural markets.

Barb brings more than 35 years of pest management experience to Douglas Products. She worked in pest management for 12 years as an undergrad and post-grad student. She earned a bachelor’s degree in entomology from Purdue University and then a master’s and a Ph.D. in entomology, both at North Dakota State University. For The Dow Chemical Company and Dow AgroSciences, she served as a field research scientist, a technology transfer leader for insecticides, fungicides and biotechnology, and in human resources as a development manager. Her work in fumigation includes the preplant, postharvest and structural markets. Barb is a member of the Entomological Society of America and the International Organisation for Biological and Integrated Control.

Victoria (Tori) Pocius

Field Scientist I

Pocius brings years of chemical ecology experience to Douglas Products

Pocius has worked for the past four years in chemical ecology and plant/insect interactions as a postdoctoral scholar. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Lafayette College; Master of Arts in ecology, evolution and behavior from the University of Kansas; and Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology from Iowa State University. Prior to joining Douglas Products, Pocius was a postdoctoral researcher in the Ali and Schilder Labs at Penn State, investigating the trade-offs between milkweed toxicity and monarch flight physiology. Most recently, Pocius was a postdoc in the Kersch-Becker Lab at The University of Alabama, investigating the link between plant defenses, prey quality on well-defended plants, and impacts on natural enemy attraction and consumption.

Heather Kern

Vice President of Global Marketing

Kern brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, product management and supply chain.

Heather Kern is Vice President of Global Marketing. Heather serves on the corporate leadership team and is the commercial leader for the pest management brands in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. She manages marketing for the structural and postharvest markets, as well as the North American sales team. Prior to joining Douglas Products, she served in sales, marketing and purchasing roles for The Dow Chemical Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Central Michigan University and a master’s in business management from Aquinas College.

Janet Rowley

International Vice President

Rowley is an active member of the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials and the International Organisation for Biological Control.

Janet brings extensive experience to her responsibilities to develop and serve fumigation customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia. After earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing from The Ohio State University, she gained experience in all aspects of pest management with The Dow Chemical Company and later Dow AgroSciences. She is a 32-year veteran in structural fumigation and a 22-year veteran in postharvest fumigation. With Dow and Dow AgroSciences she has served in roles that include sales, marketing, communications and sales management. She is a member of the National Pest Control Association, Pest Control Operators of California, the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials and the International Organisation for Biological Control.
