Target Sites
When pests infest commercial structures and residential households, they pose a health threat and affect quality of life. The active ingredient in ProFume® fumigant has been the leading brand (Vikane® fumigant) in whole-structure termite fumigation in the United States for more than 55 years. It is proven to eliminate wood-boring beetles, woodborers (drywood termites), cockroaches, rodents, bed bugs and other residential pests with a single treatment. (Note that geckos are not a target pest and may survive a fumigation, but that does not indicate the treatment was not successful against the target pest.)
Target Pests
ProFume is labeled to control a range of difficult-to-control structural pests. The active ingredient penetrates wood to eliminate all live stages of wood-boring beetles and woodborer colonies (drywood termites), which can live entirely in structural wood that is inaccessible to inspection or insecticide treatments.
For bed bugs, it controls those resistent to other insecticides and the 1.9x dosage rate eliminates all life stages (including eggs), which if not controlled, can lead to a population rebound. ProFume also is a one-and-done treatment for cockroaches, spiders and rodents.
Termites and Bed Bugs
Drywood termites (Cryptotermes brevis, Cryptotermes cavifrons, Kalotermes approximates, Incistermes, etc.)
Subterranean termites (Coptotermes formosanus, Reticulitermes)
